Job Description
LocumJobs Near Me is looking for Nurse Practitioners in Westgate-on-Sea.
This role offers a supportive primary care setting with clear clinical templates, established triage and dependable admin workflows, enabling you to focus on safe consultations. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and a receptive team that values consistent communication and well defined scope of practice.
Up to 3 days per week available, with flexibility across days and session times.
Role Snapshot
• NP clinics focused on minor illness, urgent presentations and planned follow ups.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with minor illness and acute complaints.
• Undertake clinical decision making, safety netting and escalation when required.
• Prescribe and review medications within competence and local guidance where applicable.
• Request and interpret investigations, acting on results appropriately.
• Maintain clear documentation, coding and patient communication throughout the episode of care.
Requirements
• NMC registration with Nurse Practitioner level training and relevant clinical competence.
• Primary care or urgent care experience with confidence managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing qualification preferred where required for the clinic scope.
• Up to date safeguarding and infection prevention knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an organised, patient focused approach.
Working Pattern
• Part time and locum style session availability depending on practice need.
• Up to 3 days per week, with scope for regular weekly sessions.
• Daytime clinics with agreed appointment length and clear support routes.
• Options for ad hoc cover or a more predictable rota.
