Job Description
LocumJobs Near Me is looking for a General Practitioner to support a well-organised surgery in Hove.
You will provide a mix of routine and urgent appointments with strong admin support.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexible sessions.
Role Snapshot
• GP clinics with manageable workflow and clear duty structure.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, patient-centred consultations across acute and chronic presentations.
• Manage on-the-day demand where required and provide appropriate escalation and safety-netting.
• Review and action results, documents and correspondence in line with local policy.
• Complete referrals, fit notes and medication reviews with good clinical rationale.
• Maintain high-quality records and contribute to continuity of care where possible.
• Work collaboratively with the MDT to support access targets and patient flow.
Working Pattern
• Locum cover with regular weekly availability.
• Up to 4 days per week, flexible start and finish times subject to rota.
• Combination of face-to-face and telephone appointments.
• Admin time built into sessions where agreed with the service.
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register.
• Recent UK primary care experience and confidence managing undifferentiated illness.
• Strong communication skills and consistent clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with common GP clinical systems and referral pathways.
• Current mandatory training and safeguarding competence to the required level.
