Job Description
LocumJobs Near Me is looking for General Practitioners in Carmarthenshire.
This is a high quality locum opportunity within well managed GP surgeries, with strong admin processes, experienced reception teams and sensible triage to protect clinical time. You will have clear appointment structures, reliable clinical systems and the support of an established multidisciplinary team.
Up to 2 days per week available, with flexibility on which days you work.
Role Snapshot
• Sessional GP work with a stable practice team and organised workflow.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, patient centred consultations across routine, acute and follow up care.
• Prescribe in line with national guidance and local formulary, with robust medicines governance.
• Manage clinical correspondence, results and actions within agreed turnaround times.
• Document accurately, coding and safety netting in line with practice standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure continuity and appropriate escalation.
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register.
• Recent UK GP experience with confidence using EMIS or SystmOne.
• Evidence of up to date appraisal, revalidation and mandatory training.
• Strong consultation skills with a pragmatic, risk aware approach.
• Current DBS and right to work documentation.
Working Pattern
• Locum sessions agreed in advance with options for regular weekly cover.
• Up to 2 days per week, with the ability to increase or reduce depending on service need.
• Typically standard daytime sessions with predictable appointment lengths.
• Option to focus on clinical work with admin support and clear processes.
